Facility Engineering Project Manager
Role
Positions in one of two disciplines are available. The role will be to manage and execute facility repair and restoration engineering or energy management and sustainability consulting.
Restoration Engineering: Facility engineering consulting projects can include structural rehabilitation, concrete restoration, facade restoration, roofing and waterproofing replacement, and pavement restoration. Consulting services provided include assessment, construction document preparation, bidding assistance, construction contract administration, and construction monitoring. Individual would also be responsible for client maintenance and development. A degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering is preferred.
Energy Management and Sustainability Engineering: Projects can include:
a. Condition assessment of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to identify remaining useful life and replacement costs.
b. Energy audits and development of energy conservation projects to reduce consumption and cost.
c. Commissioning consultation for existing buildings.
d. Specialty design for component replacement projects.
e. Green building and sustainability consultation. Assess measures to improve building performance and/or achieve points for certification.
Mechanical engineering degree preferred.
Experience/Skills/Capabilities
- Relevant Facility Engineering Consulting Experience. Minimum 5-years experience preferred

Staff Engineer
Role
FEA is looking for graduates with a B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical engineering. Entry- level engineers and Project Engineers will help perform field evaluations of existing facilities to assess the condition of building systems such as roofing and waterproofing, building exteriors and facades, concrete balconies and parking garages, MEP systems, elevators, structural frame, foundations, pavements, and other site systems. Staff engineers typically split their time about 50-50 between field work and office work. Office work includes analysis, preparation of reports, design of repairs or replacement systems, preparation of CAD drawings and specifications for repair and restoration projects. Engineers are exposed to a wide variety of building systems and facility types, and learn how to find and correct deficiencies with those systems. Staff engineers are given as much responsibility as they can handle very quickly, and will write proposals, reports, and interact with clients and contractors in their first year
Qualifications
Qualified candidates will have a B.S. or M.S. in Civil, Structural, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering.
