February 2, 2010 (Fairfax, VA) - FEA would like to announce that Maria Fara has earned her LEED Accredited Professional, Existing Buildings Operations and Maintenance (LEED AP EB O+M) designation! Maria is a geologist by background and has been integral in FEA's latest LEED projects, including the LEED-EB certification of the National Education Association headquarters in Washington, DC.
The LEED AP and Green Associate designations demonstrate a level of understanding of the USGBC LEED rating system. Through FEA's Sustainability Task Force, we have set a goal to provide education and support for those wanting to obtain certification. Those individuals who have achieved or are working to achieve this are helping to grow FEA's team and are demonstrating our commitment and capabilities to our clients and potential clients. Maria becomes FEA’s 12th LEED AP!
