U.S. Green Building Council Education Provider (USGBC EP)

FEA is proud to be a USGBC Education Provider!  Currently, FEA is sharing our knowledge of energy and sustainability through six different courses, with the expectation of adding more as each is approved.  These courses are eligible for Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) continuing education credit hours that are needed to maintain LEED Professional credentials.
 

Practical Strategies for a Successful LEED for Existing Building Certification provides those who seek a better understanding of the LEED-Existing Buildings: O&M rating system the information needed to kick-start a certification project.
 

Practical Strategies for Calculating & Reducing Your Carbon Footprint introduces participants to the carbon footprint and the elements needed to calculate the footprint for their facilities and their organizations.
 

Sustainability Scorecard: A Roadmap to Sustainability in Existing Buildings discusses how to develop a sustainability strategy that aligns with your organization’s mission and most importantly, how to implement that strategy.


Introduction to Green Roofs discusses what a green roof is, compares the benefits and disadvantages of both vegetative and non-vegetative roof systems, and if a green roof is truly a worthwhile investment for your facility.


What’s Your Score? Benchmarking Energy Use through ENERGY STAR®
introduces participants to the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager program by showing them how to use ENERGY STAR to benchmark their energy performance, prioritize energy initiatives, and work towards increasing their ENERGY STAR rating.


How to Operate More Efficiently While Complying with Executive Orders
 introduces participants to the Executive Orders and related existing statutes, their goals, and basic requirements.
