Instructors
Laurie A. Gilmer, P.E., CFM, LEED AP O+M, CxA - Laurie is an Associate at FEA and leads FEA’s building energy management services. Laurie assists facility managers in assessing and improving building systems operations, identifying and implementing energy saving strategies, and US Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) certification. She has provided energy, LEED and commissioning services for numerous commercial projects. Laurie has published various articles, and has presented on sustainable solutions, commissioning, energy conservation, ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager, and facility management for IFMA, IREM, and several other public and private organizations. She currently serves on the IFMA Redwood Empire Board, and is a member of ASHRAE and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). Laurie is also co-author of the second manual in the IFMA Sustainability “How-To-Guide” Series, EPA’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
Gregory J. Hughel, EIT, LEED AP - Greg is a Project Engineer at FEA. His engineering background includes assessment of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems for federal and commercial facilities throughout the United States. He has also performed ASHRAE Level I & II Audits, retro-commissioning, mechanical systems calculations, and water systems efficiency evaluations for buildings seeking LEED for existing buildings certification. Greg has written articles and presented on the subject of water and energy conservation in various conferences and at George Mason University’s Sustainability Certificate Program. Greg is also co-author of the second manual in the IFMA Sustainability “How-To-Guide” Series, EPA’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager.
