Ballston Office Tower Environmental Assessment

Facility Engineering Associates was contracted to assess the condition and estimate repair and renovation costs for the Ballston Office Tower in Arlington, Virginia. Components evaluated included site systems, structural systems, exterior building envelopes, roof systems, interior finishes, mechanical and electrical systems, fire and life safety systems, accessibility, and a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment.

An inspection of the property was performed by the FEA team of engineers and an environmental scientist. The Phase I Environmental Site Assessment included a thorough historical review and regulatory database review to determine the potential for recognized environmental conditions.

Capital expenditure forecasts and financial plans were developed by building and rolled up into a summary for the entire system.
