Facility Engineering Associates, P.C. provided management and technology consulting services to evaluate Lake County's existing maintenance management processes, facilitate management automation, provide organizational assessments, re-engineer business processes for process and productivity improvement, develop performance metrics to measure improvement, and develop strategic automation and implementation plans. FEA was selected due to our broad expertise in facility management (FM) processes, FM automation systems, technical building systems maintenance, and practical experience of several senior staff members who have managed facilities.
FEA's first task included reviewing existing maintenance management processes, providing organizational assessments, and re-engineering business processes for process and productivity improvement. The purpose of the evaluations was to ensure efficient and effective procedures were in place prior to implementing new maintenance management systems. FEA staff then embarked on a system needs and process analyses to determine the true facility management and maintenance technology needs of various departments within Lake County which included, but was not limited to: Central Services, Winchester House, Department of Public Works, and Department of Health.
