Structural consulting may not seem like the most obvious service line for a company whose concentration is not on new building design, but rather on diagnosing and developing repair recommendations for existing facilities. But growing facilities often require changes in the physical structure of their buildings. FEA can assist: when loading conditions are modified in a renovation; when the original structure was under-designed for proposed uses; when the elements of the structural system have deteriorated; or when overloading conditions (like a heavy snowstorm) occur.
