Sustainable Facility Management, Commissioning, and Energy Management Services
Sustainable Facility Management
Many building and property managers today are being asked: "What are we doing in our buildings to be more sustainable?" FEA can assist our clients in answering that question through a number of Sustainable Building Services. Whether it is determining your current status towards being more sustainable, how you can save money in your building's operations by being more energy efficient, or taking you through a building rating system certification, FEA's team can work with you in achieving your sustainability goals. We strive to work with facility managers to provide further education on sustainable facility management and how they can operate their facilities in a more sustainable manner.
Commissioning and Energy Management Services
To ensure that building systems are performing as designed, FEA can perform commissioning and retro-commissioning services for new and existing buildings. FEA's experienced team of Professional Engineers, Certified Energy Managers, and Certified Facility Managers can also assist you with analyzing the most cost-effective options to reduce energy cost and developing a budget that considers your specific requirements. Our team can work with you in developing a sustainability and energy management plan for your facility, including a list of projects to be implemented over time that works with your budgetary constrictions.

"How-To Guide" Series from the IFMA Foundation
FEA, in partnership with the IFMA Foundation, has released the first two guides in the "How-To Guide" Series. The Getting Started (with Sustainability) guide, the first in the series, has been created to assist facility managers with a step-by-step process for assessing an organization, finding a starting point, identifying initiatives, evaluating their value, and implementing, measuring, and monitoring their effectiveness. The second guide entitled EPA’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager has been created to help facility managers and owners understand how to maintain a successful energy management program.
