Asbestos Surveys, Management Plans, and Abatement Specifications

FEA's Licensed Asbestos Building Inspectors can evaluate your facility, identify asbestos-containing materials (ACM), and provide recommendations for management of the ACM. The condition of the ACM, renovation plans, and owner preferences will determine if the ACM should be abated. Abatement work requires specialized techniques, protective equipment, and trained workers. FEA can prepare technical specifications for the abatement project in accordance with Federal, State, and local regulations. In addition, FEA can provide construction monitoring services including reviewing submittals and monitoring the abatement work.

Lead-Based Paint Surveys and Abatement Specifications

FEA's Licensed Lead Inspectors and Risk Assessors can evaluate your facility, identify if lead-based paint (LBP) is present, and provide recommendations for management of the LBP. The condition of the LBP, renovation plans, and owner preferences will determine if the LBP should be abated.

Lead-Based Paint may also become an issue during renovation of buildings constructed prior to 1978. Although most renovation activities involving lead-painted surfaces are not regulated as abatement, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations still apply. The employers of construction personnel that disturb lead-containing paint are required to follow the requirements of OSHA's regulation that includes air monitoring, personal protection equipment, and health monitoring of employees. If conducted improperly, renovations in buildings with lead-based paint can create serious health hazards to workers and occupants by releasing large amounts of lead dust and debris.

Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments

FEA has extensive experience performing Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments for lenders, property owners, and potential purchasers. FEA utilizes experienced Environmental Professionals, that meet the new definition of an Environmental Professional under the AAI guidelines, and delivers a detailed report of findings.

Moisture and Mold Evaluations

FEA's experienced team of Professional Engineers, Industrial Hygienists, and a Mold Remediation Supervisor can evaluate your moisture concerns and address your mold problems in one step. If you have a moisture problem in your building, FEA can evaluate the problem and design the repair. Properly repairing the cause of the moisture infiltration is imperative to preventing mold from growing. If mold has already grown or if you are concerned mold may be present, we can assess the situation and determine if mold is a significant problem. Our goal is to help our clients maximize their maintenance, repair, and replacement budgets and provide sound recommendations.

Indoor Air Quality Surveys

FEA's experienced team of Professional Engineers, Industrial Hygienists, and Environmental Professionals can evaluate your indoor air quality concerns and provide recommendations for improving the indoor air quality.

Underground Storage Tank Evaluations

FEA's experienced team of Professional Engineers and Environmental Professionals can handle any of your underground storage tank concerns. FEA has experience in overseeing underground storage tank removals, performing soil and groundwater sampling, and interacting with state and local agencies.
